# AI Generation — Illustrious / NoobAI Edition

This document contains everything concerning AI image generation for the NSFW adult visual novel, from pipeline to prompts.
It follows the **prompt-generation** skill guidelines (see `.agents/skills/prompt-generation/SKILL.md`).

**IMPORTANT**: We have migrated from SDXL natural-language prompting to **Illustrious / NoobAI Danbooru-tag segmented prompting**. Prompt writing has changed fundamentally — Illustrious, NoobAI, and similar fine-tunes respond best to **comma-separated Danbooru tags** organized into **segmented `[category]` blocks separated by `BREAK`**, not natural-language sentences.

## Prompt Writing Approach

Prompts are written as **comma-separated Danbooru tags** organized into segmented blocks separated by `BREAK` — not assembled from verbatim canonical blocks as natural-language paragraphs.

Early attempts to concatenate canonical character body + NSFW modifier + location + action blocks
caused contradictions (standing-pose lines in a lying-down scene, clothing mentioned then contradicted
by "fully nude", character names the model cannot parse). The model also produced body malformations
when anatomical descriptions were too dense or conflicting.

### New Approach (Danbooru Tag Format, Segmented)

Write prompts as **comma-separated Danbooru tags** organized into segments:

Then provide the negative prompt.

Key rules:
- Use commas to separate tags, not natural-language sentences
- Use `BREAK` to separate category blocks
- Include quality tokens: `masterpiece, best quality, amazing quality, 4k, very aesthetic, high resolution, ultra-detailed, absurdres`
- Include style/drawn-era tags: `newest`, `recent`, `mid`, `modern`, `early`, `old`, `oldest` or year-style tags
- Include rating tags: `general`, `sensitive`, `questionable`, `explicit`
- No score tags (Pony-style) — they cause text to appear on everything
- DON'T USE CAPS except where the tag itself has caps
- Use underscores when a spaced tag includes another strong tag: `fake_rabbit_ears`
- Escape special characters with backslash: `\(`, `\)`, `\[`, `\]`, `\:`
- Use weighting or rearrange instead of repeating tags

### Key Constraints (from experience)

1. **No character names in the prompt body** — Use visual descriptors: `red hair, glasses, freckles`. Character names may only appear in the body modifier segment if using a Danbooru-trained model that recognizes character tags.

2. **No pose contradictions** — if the scene action is lying down, remove standing-pose tags (`full_body_standing_pose`, `standing_centered`) from the body modifier segment.

3. **No clothing vs. nudity contradictions** — if a character is fully nude, omit all clothing tags from the body modifier. If partially undressed, use tags like `shirt_lifted`, `skirt_pushed_up`, `panties_visible`.

4. **Use action-level Danbooru tags** — instead of anatomical movement descriptions, use: `fellatio`, `fingering`, `masturbation`, `vaginal_penetration`. The model renders anatomy more accurately when actions are described at a behavior level.

5. **Simplify spatial relationships** — dense anatomical descriptions from conflicting angles cause body malformations. Keep composition clear with simple camera/pose tags.

6. **Negative prompts are essential** — always include Crody's recommended negative prompt format.

7. **Quality tokens ARE used** — unlike SDXL, Illustrious/NoobAI models benefit from `masterpiece, best quality, ultra-detailed, absurdres`. Place them in segment 1.

8. **Use Danbooru tag format** — comma-separated tags, not natural-language sentences. Write `red hair, long hair, curly hair, freckles, glasses, cerulean eyes` not `A young woman with long curly red hair and round glasses`.

**Quality tokens are used** for Illustrious/NoobAI models. Unlike SDXL (where quality tokens added noise), these models benefit from explicit quality tags.
